He’s back, and better than ever, Chef John Flicek!
We’re proud to have Chef John Flicek returning as Head Chef at the HVC for his third season.
Bringing a wealth of expertise and a passion for farm-to-table seasonal cuisine and scratch kitchens, Chef John continues to uphold and elevate the culinary standard that Harbor View Café is known for. Over the past two seasons, he has skillfully blended new ideas with longtime favorites — respecting the traditions our guests love while introducing fresh, thoughtful additions.
This season, guests may notice a new item or two, with some popular appetizers, a few bold new flavors, and additional dining options, while still keeping the entrées that have become the HVC favorites.
A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in 2004, Chef John’s journey has taken him from intern to Executive Chef, refining his craft at establishments such as Nosh Restaurant & Bar, ZZest Market & Café, Jasper’s Alsatian Bistro, Sontes Wine Bar and Tapas, and most recently as Operator/Chef at Staghead.
For those already familiar with his cuisine, it’s a welcome return. For those joining us for the first time, we think you’ll quickly understand why his food has become such an important part of the HVC experience.
“I am committed to maintaining the gold standard our guests expect, while continuing to introduce new flavors and ideas each season,” Chef John shares.
