Exciting Announcement: Introducing Chef John Flicek, as Our New Head Chef!

We’re thrilled to introduce Chef John Flicek as the Head Chef at HVC, kicking off our 2024 season with a burst of culinary excellence.

Bringing a wealth of expertise and passion for farm-to-table seasonal cuisine and scratch kitchens, Chef John is poised to uphold and elevate the culinary legacy that HVC is known for.

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in 2004, Chef John’s journey has seen him rise from intern to Executive Chef, honing his skills at esteemed establishments like Nosh Restaurant & Bar, ZZest Market & Café, Jasper’s Alsatian Bistro, Sontes Wine bar and Tapas, and most recently, Operator/Chef at Staghead.

For those acquainted with his cuisine, the anticipation is palpable, while newcomers are bound to be captivated just like Missy, Wendy, and Chris, who swiftly became fans after experiencing his delectable creations.

“I am eager to preserve the essence of what makes the Harbor View Café beloved, while introducing fresh, innovative, and flavorful dishes,” Chef John expresses.
